National Indian Education Study (NIES)
- The National Indian Education Study (NIES) is designed to describe the condition of education for American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) students in the United States. The study provides educators, policymakers, and the public with information about the academic performance in reading and mathematics of AI/AN fourth- and eighth-graders as well as their exposure to Native American culture. The NIES produces a report card and a summary of results after each study.

American Indian School Dropouts and Pushouts (2012) is a microsite maintained Dr. Jon Allan Reyhner, a professor at NAU's Department of Educational Specialties at Northern Arizona University. The site contains a copy of a 1992 report commissioned by the U.S. Department of Education's Indian Nations at Risk Task Force called, "Plans for Dropout Prevention and Special School Support Services for American Indian and Alaska Native Students".
